Great way to see and hear Russian: open WEBCAST in 2 browsers, arranged side-by-side on your computer screen. In one, click on "Current webcasts" then the arrow marked "Слушать" (slushat') to download small MP3 files and hear current news spoken in "simplified Russian". Your computer should have an MP3 player program. In the second browser, click on "Scripts" and read the Russian text along with the announcer. Each webcast has a vocabulary list and simple tests.
