Russian-language immersion-workshops for children

Dear Parents:

The International School of Tucson is delighted to announce Russian-language immersion-workshops for children.

The first series will be :
  • aimed at children aged 3 – 5 +/- six months,
  • Beginners (no prior knowledge) / Elementary (some basic knowledge, including False Beginners)
  • oriented towards the spoken language
   and :
  • aimed at children aged 6 – 8 years old +/- six months
  • Elementary (some prior knowledge and some basic knowledge, including False Beginners) / Lower Intermediate (can speak but cannot yet read or write)
  • oriented towards the spoken language
  • introduction to pre-reading and pre-writing
Based on student and teacher responses, we may be able to schedule further/additional workshops, and where numbers allow, further narrow groupings by age and/or by level.

Each Session is separate and stand-alone, however students who take multiple Sessions will benefit from the increased practice.

Fees
  • $80 per Session if registered by 5:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the first meeting of each session
  • $100 per session if registered after 5:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to each session (or $25 per remaining meeting)
  • Fees include all supplies, although students will need a typical pencil case and contents, and a set of colouring pencils.
Numbers
  • Minimum 4 students (where the minimum number is not met by 5:00 pm on the Friday prior, the Session may be canceled in which case Fees will be credited.)
  • Maximum 16 students (where the maximum is reached, a “Waitlist” system will operate)
We can also arrange Sessions for other ages and levels, including reading- and writing-based sessions where the students can already speak Russian, depending on interest. Please contact us for more information.
