ВРАЧ ОТ БОГА
42 года своей жизни Евдокия Васильевна посвятила самой нужной и
мирной
профессии – медицине. Про таких людей говорят: врач от Бога.
В числе ее пациентов – знаменитые артисты Мариус Лиэпа, Станислав
Любшин, Евгений
Киндинов, космонавты Попович,
Терешкова,
Шаталов,
многие другие известные всему миру люди.

FROM GOD
Evdokia Vasilievna*
dedicated 42 years of her life to a most needed and peaceful profession
— medicine. They say such
people are a doctor from God.
A number of her patients are famous artists (Maris Liepa
[ballet
dancer], Stanislav Liubshin [movie actor], Eugene Kindinov (movie
actor] ), cosmonauts ([Pavel] Popovich, [Valentina] Tereshkova, Shatalov; and many other world reknown people.

прошла нелёгкий трудовой путь от врача-диетолога санатория
«Кавказ» до
исполняющего обязанности главврача сан. «Березы». |
Evdokia Vasilevna was awarded
"Excellent Worker of Public Health of RSFSR", she is a Labor Veteran,
was promoted from Doctor Dietologist at the Kavkaz [Caucasus] health
resort clinic [sanatorium] to acting Head Physician at the Beriozy
[Birches]
health resort clinic. |

She also worked in the Pavlov
and Schakhter [Miner] health resort clinics. |
| Выйдя на пенсию в 1988 году, до
2001-го года продолжала работать в медицине города-курорта Ессентуки. |
After retiring in 1988, she
continued to work in medicine to 2001 in the resort town of
Essentuki. |
| Награждена медалью «200
лет КМВ» и многими отраслевыми наградами, в том
числе «Отличник курортов профсоюзов России» и
«Отличник здравоохранения
РСФСР». |
She was awarded the medal
“200 years KMV” [Causasus Mineral Waters] and professional awards,
including “Excellent Worker of the Health Resorts of the Trade
Unions of Russia” and “Excellent Worker of Public Health of the
RSFSR”. |
Евдокия Васильевна в 1963 году
была избрана депутатом Совета города Ессентуки.

In 1963 Evdokia Vasilevna was
selected to be a deputy of the Eessentuki city council. |

Evdokia Vakhlakova are heads of the health clinics of the resort town

| Татьяна, дочь Евдокии
Васильевны, тоже выбрала профессию медика,
окончила Ростовский мединститут, работала в ессентукском санатории
«Виктория»,
окончила университет города Феникс в США, где и работает
дантистом. |
Tatiana, daughter of Evdokia
Vasilievna, who also selected the profession of physician, finished
Rostov medical school, worked in the Essentuki health clinic
“Victoria”. In the city of Phoenix [Arizona] in the USA, she
graduated from university, and now works as a dentist. [Should be "dental hygienist". There is
no word in Russian for hygienist, so Evdokia said she was a
"para-dentolog", a gum dentist.]

| Евдокия Васильевна уверена, что

на заслуженном отдыхе, она приходит на помощь коллегам и советом, и
делом. |
Evdokia Vasilevna believes that
knowledge and kindness are the main
components of a successful specialist. Love for the people is the
main commandment of doctor Vakhlakova, who carried this through her
entire life. And now being retired, she still helps collegues with
advice. |

Evdokia is daughter of Vasili Antonich Sergeev, late presbyter of the
Iutsa Molokan congregation, and mother-in-law to this webmaster. Two of
her 7 uncles and 2 aunts migrated to the US from Ol'shanka village,
Kars guberniia (province) — George Anton. Sergeev
and Ivan
Anton. Samarin. Because there were so many Samarins among the Molokans in Kars guberniia, Vasili and George changed their surnames to Sergeev.
